UPDATED: Founder Of TOMS Shoes Accidentally Headlines An Event For An Organization That Condemns Homosexuality

Blake Mycoskie is the founder of TOMS shoes which are mostly worn by youthful social groups that tend to trend liberal. Well apparently in complete opposition with the majority of his clientele he headlined an event for Focus On The Family, the evangelical Christian, right wing non-profit that condemns homosexuality and abortion. UPDATE: A rare happy ending to all of this: Blake has released a sincere apology explaining he makes so many appearances that he doesn't fully background check every organization he visits. He fully supports gay rights. This also makes me happy because I knew we couldn't hate that face! (via nymag.com) View List ›

You can't make this shit up. UPDATE: Rekers' rentboy admits that they had sex. Apparently Rekers particularly enjoyed a massage technique called “the long stroke.” Read More ›

  • Praying for Rain During Obama’s DNC Speech

Focus on the Family reporter Stuart Shepard asked viewers to pray for “rain of Biblical proportions” during the Democratic National Convention. All cute-like too, like “Nice convention ya got here. Be a shame if God flooded it out.” FotF made Shepard take the video down, but not before it got on YouTube. And plenty of Shepard’s other anti-liberal videos are still up, in case you want to feel more pissed off at a right-wing talking head. Watch Video ›
