Rainbow roses are made by splitting the stems of white roses and resting the stem fragments in different colored dye. The dye is drawn to the petals, which then become colored.

At the Hitachi Seaside Park, near the Ajigaura Beach in Japan, you can experience a mix of sky and earth that creates quite a blended horizon. The spectacular blooming period is called “Nemophilia Harmony,” after the flowers’ blue hue. Bonus photos of the other colorful hills of the park at the bottom.

Artist Anna Schuleit created this beautiful and haunting series, entitled BLOOM. Schuleit took 28,000 potted plants and distributed them between four floors of an abandoned psychiatric hospital. The thesis addresses a lack of flowers present in such facilities and certainly reveals the natural beauty under dark circumstances. (via 1856.org)
