Culture Buzz A never-used warning from the Food and Drug Administration that was to have been placed on cans of Four Loko. Seems strange that the FDA would use such foul language. Also seems strange that this appears to be written in the distinctive and hilarious voice of Mr. Show co-creator Bob Odenkirk.
Business Buzz The FDA has issued a proposed rule that will require new textual warnings on cigarette packages, accompanied by color graphics showing the negative health and social consequences associated with smoking. The new graphics would take up half the packaging and be required by June of 2011.

A recent study has shown that the popular cold medication Zicam can irreversibly damage your sense of smell. Doctors recommend anyone using Zicam to stop use immediately. The company that makes Zicam, Matrixx Initiatives, has seen their stocks plummet by over 50% today because of the news.
Food Buzz The FDA announces the Great Tomato Scare of Aught Eight is finally over. Thank god we all survived! For a while there, we couldn’t even get beefsteak tomatoes on our pizza. Now the FDA is saying tomatoes might never have been the source of the outbreak to begin with. Watch out for those peppers, though!
