Animal heroism at its best.
Keepers at a zoo in Iowa were worried when they noticed an elk named Shooter dipping his hooves and head in his drinking trough. But they were pleasantly surprised when they saw Shooter lift his head out of the water - clutching a tiny marmot. A man was cleared of murder charges in Sweden after police determined an as-yet unidentified elk killed his wife. You’re probably asking yourself, “How could this happen? European elk are usually so shy!” Well, note this, friend: “Swedish Radio International says the animals can become aggressive after eating fermented fallen apples in gardens.”
