SCIENCE BUZZ: More than 1,000 new species have been discovered in the Greater Mekong, including a dragon millipede and a spider “as big as a dinner plate.” They are all equally freaky and wondrous, but the Heteropoda dagmarae will haunt me for decades.

TECH BUZZ: We're glad to see we're not alone in thinking that the new ad campaign from Ask.com are 100% creeptastic. Sure, they get the job done when it comes to grabbing our attention, but that's only because they leave us with nervous tremors.

FOOD BUZZ: Beyond the ubiquitous International Thumbs Up Guy , there’s a whole world of weird food statues out there. The New York Times has a quick look at phenomenon of eerie fiberglass food vendor statues from around the globe. The hot dog guy always makes me feel a little sick with the way he spurts mustard and ketchup on himself; he’s included with other disturbing examples I’ve found.
