CULTURE BUZZ: Stephen Colbert, who happens to be running for President in the Marvel Universe, will be appearing alongside Spider-Man in the upcoming extra-sized AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #573! This all makes my head spin it’s just so freaking cool. There’s no word yet as to what they’ll be fighting, but I wonder if the Stephen Colbert spider has anything to do with the newly formed partnership.

TECH BUZZ: After prematurely sending out a comic book introducing Google’s new open source web browser to a few bloggers, the search giant announced the launch of the beta version of Google Chrome, available today. POLITICS BUZZ: A racist Mexican comic was pulled from the shelves of a Houston Wal-Mart after a customer complained. The Memin Pinguin first sparked controversy in the US when Mexico issued a postage stamp featuring the character which the White House decreed as offensive. It is surprising that a company known for refusing to carry music and movies with questionable ‘values’ would chose to carry such a blatantly controversial comic book.
