In a development that could be a major boon to the fleece industry, a group of futurists, scientists, and planners has proposed building sustainable campus-like villages throughout the Arctic hinterlands to save us from the coming environmental apocalypse. Construction on the first will begin in Longyearbyen, Norway, in 2012. If these plans are carried out, the incidence of polar warfare seems certain to rise.
