Music Buzz It's sort of difficult to hear what the GN'R front man says, what with his beads and jewelry clanking around the whole time. But props to VH1 Classic for honoring National Metal Day (11/11) right.

Claiming that Dr. Pepper “ruined” the release of Guns N' Roses long-awaited album, Chinese Democracy, with their failure to successfully deliver America the promised free sodas, Axl's lawyer sent the soft drink company a scathing letter demanding that they “clean up the mess.” And on this day, rock 'n roll is officially dead. I know I'm blaming Dr. Pepper.

The album review that's been 15 years in the making. His opening: “Reviewing Chinese Democracy is not like reviewing music. It's more like reviewing a unicorn. Should I primarily be blown away that it exists at all? Am I supposed to compare it to conventional horses? To a rhinoceros? Does its pre-existing mythology impact its actual value, or must it be examined inside a cultural vacuum, as if this creature is no more (or less) special than the remainder of the animal kingdom?”
