A stunt driver lost control of his Ferrari last night while filming Nicolas Cage's new movie The Sorcerer's Apprentice , crashing into a Sbarro in Times Square. Two people were injured, although that doesn't speak for the Sbarro's employees already convinced they're cursed for working at Sbarro's.

SCIENCE BUZZ: A group of scientists are developing what could be the world’s first zero-emissions fuel-less car. The Magnetic Air Car is unique for two reasons: it uses magnetic technologies in place of pistons, and it’s powered entirely by compressed air technologies (aka it doesn’t need to be supplied with any form of fuel or charged in any way). This could change the transportation industry!

TECH BUZZ: American car maker Ford Motor has finally created a fuel efficient car that will get a whopping 65 mpg. Oh just one thing…they’re only selling it in Europe. The main reason is because it runs on diesel fuel which is not a popular fuel source in the US. Ford is claiming they also can’t sell it in the states for “business reasons”. Hmm, the old “it’s not personal, it’s business” line. Look Ford, our cars may run on gasoline, but they don’t run on b.s.

TECH BUZZ: Chrysler has announced that they will be including internet access in their cars beginning this year. In an attempt to seem relevant and lure younger drivers, Chrysler is adding a system called UConnect that will allow everyone in the car to check e-mail, download music, play games and upload photos from an SD card directly to Flickr. If cell phones made car phones obsolete, then with the development of hand-held technology - is this really necessary?

A vintage Ferrari sells at auction for a record $10,894,900. I don’t usually get excited about expensive cars but this one is actually beautiful. When did all cars become so ugly? 1970s? 80s?
