Celebrity Buzz A stirring protest song about BP tar balls, made even stirringer by the Pearl Jam front man. Did I ever mention I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan? And, considering the double entendre of this song, do you know what “Pearl Jam” really means? A hint: Contrary to popular myth, it has nothing to do with hallucinogenic jelly and an old lady named Pearl. Speculate away.
Culture Buzz This probably isn't what you have in mind when you think of oil and bikini models. These are from the Surfrider calendar in Europe. Surfrider, if you couldn't tell from the BP-themed satire, is an environmental preservation organization. Relax. It's not really crude oil. Photoshoppery ahoy. (via mymodernmet.com)
I'm sure this still makes people angry. Mainly because it makes BP look like real jerks. (via reddit.com)
Culture Buzz A lot of important historical stuff happened on April 20th besides Columbus discovering Boulder, Colorado or the invention of Dave Chappelle or whatever reason everyone gets baked today. It's an awful day for Colorado. And let's not forget all the wonderful birthdays.
Jennifer Rexford has taken to YouTube to raise awareness about the health effects thousands of people are feeling from the oil spill. Until now, this has been a very unreported issue. I've also attached a local news report about other people in the area feeling similar effects. Real scary stuff.
Found on Australian Google Maps. In Sydney near the corner of Regent and Margaret streets.

Matt Simmons, the BP critic who claimed that the ocean is now covered in undersea oil plumes has died. BP must be shocked by this tragedy.
I think this pretty much sums it up. (If anyone know where it's from can you email me?)
BP has not only destroyed our oceans and shores, but it’s going after our childhoods now! Imitation Spongebob's voice is creepier than Spongebob's real voice.
Culture Buzz A Pin-up calendar created by a french agency for the Surfrider Foundation. A foundation which is passionate about cleaning up our beaches and fighting pollution around the world.
Awwww. Shame on you BP. All little Carter wants to do is go to the beach and play in the water but he can't because it's covered in oil. His childhood is ruined.

This is what happens when BP spills coffee. [Ed. note: How neat would it be if BP had an self-refilling Coffee Cup, kind of like that Strega Nona pasta pot. That would make this video more accurate and also cooler.]
Science Buzz If the vast amounts of oil unleashed in the Gulf could be used to power things, what could we do? Happy World Ocean Day, everyone! You might be surprised just how much that amount of oil could power, if it weren't being used to kill pelicans and ruin fishermans' lives.
“I'm With Coco” artist, Mike Mitchell has certainly been on a roll with his recent illustrations of BP Oil Sponge Bob, and now his portrait of a BP executive. It looks like the Black Smoke monster from LOST got a new job!
