Woman Killed By Subway After Falling On Tracks, Overcome By Heat
Culture Buzz A young woman, apparently fainting from yesterday's stifling heat, passed out at a New York City subway station and fell on the tracks. She was killed instantly by the oncoming train. The woman has since been identified as 21-year-old Fatoumata Binta Amina Diallo, a native of Ghana who was studying in Manhattan to become a doctor. Eyewitnesses say she briefly came to on the tracks and desperately tried to crawl to safety. Onlookers were horrified as she was cut in half by the train.
