Culture Buzz This piece of geekery is fully edible and on display at the Discovery Science Museum in California. Mmmmm… Empirey. (via slashfilm.com)
Is the frigid climate of the icy planet Hoth getting you down? Then come inside and shelter up at your local AT-AT Starbucks. And if you thought it smelled good from the outside, wait till you come in! Click here to enlarge.
Artist Tony Bamber depicts the assault of an Imperial Walker, barreling down State Street in the Windy City.
Seriously, you think Chuck Norris could brave the Hoth blizzards and easily agitated wampum? Eh, probably no worse than Luke made out.
While wearing a monocle…I'm surprised the Internet hasn't exploded from an overload of awesomeness. If Threadless doesn't turn this into a tshirt, they may or may not be dead to me.
Culture Buzz Jinkies, that will hold a lot of Scooby Snacks! Artist Steve Anderson bring us another round of souped up imperial walkers.
This kid even has his skis on. He's more than prepared for the Battle of Hoth.
Culture Buzz If you're going to use your car to advertise your procreation prowess, you might as well do it with style. I think Kelly Kreations is on to something.
Star Wars and cats, two of the primary ventricles keeping the internet's heart beating. The scene from “Return of the Jedi” where the Ewoks crush an AT-AT's head with logs is now doubly horrifying. (CORRECTION: As has been pointed out in the comments, it was an AT-ST instead of an AT-AT which was destroyed by Ewoks in “The Return of the Jedi.” I can't believe I just typed that sentence.)
Culture Buzz Awhile back, we featured some custom AT-ATs from Star Wars. Well, here's more. See 'em all here.
Imagine if your toy AT-AT was also a lovable pet. One way that the AT-AT trumps a dog is that it poops out Jabba the Hut turds.
This is pretty funny. And by 'pretty funny' I mean 'a good reflection of our society in general'. [Ed Note: Why no underachieving AT-STs? You'd think the AT-ST would be constantly failing to live up to expectations. Wait - did nobody else follow me down that nerdhole? Forget it.]
Things that make dogs better. Or at least tolerable. Unfortunately, the whole package comes with the dog's owner singing the Imperial March, so we may be back to just kind of annoying, which is what a miniature pinscher without an AT-AT costume is.
Here's today's essential Flickr set for both your cute and your geeky needs. The dude keeps an AT-AT as a pet, and it gets along with his cat. I never even knew they could be domesticated!
