The saga continues. Julian Assange has been released on bail but must remain confined to a supporter’s 600-acre estate. Although he will have to observe a curfew, wear an electronic tag and report to police every day, no restrictions have been placed on his internet usage. Looks like WikiLeaks is back in action.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who had been playing a game of Where’s Waldo with Interpol, has finally been arrested by the British Police. Assange was wanted on accusations of sexual assault during a trip to Sweden. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of a laundry list of troubles waiting for Assange. He’s been denied bail, and plans to fight ant extradition attempt. In an editorial for The Australian today, Assange quotes Rupert Murdoch: “In the race between secrecy and truth, it seems inevitable that truth will always win.”
