Culture Buzz Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has extended his resume of ambitious artistic endeavors with this new interactive installation in which he essentially transforms a massive, empty ferry terminal at the southern tip of Manhattan into an interactive instrument. All the music is manipulated by a single church organ that connects to the sprawling architecture through endlessly long cables, all of which basically equates to how church would look if it were awesome.
Culture Buzz A series of photographs of terminally ill subjects taken shortly before and after their death are being exhibited in London. The photos depict 24 subjects ranging from a 17-month-old baby to an 83-year-old man. Like a much creepier version of Young Me/Now Me, the exhibit is challenging Western taboos about death and dying.
