TECH BUZZ: Bowing to the whims of a publisher, Amazon remotely deleted thousands of copies of 1984 and Animal Farm from people's Kindles. Sure, they were also reimbursed. But the irony here couldn't be much less subtle.

TECH BUZZ: Just in time for Holiday shopping season, Amazon.com is reportedly getting hit by pirates using a Firefox addon that links away from the Amazon product and directs the user to a free illegal download of the same product. For the time being, the extension appears to have been shut down, but keep an eye out for more from these mischievous Holiday Geek Pirates.
