While Al Franken is continuously kicking ass at freehand cartography, Saxby Chambliss, Republican Senator from Georgia, struggles to tell us where the mountain rectangle should go. Perhaps this is the “real Georgia” that he represents? ( National Geographic , via Wonkette )

The courts finds that “Al Franken received the highest number of votes legally cast and is entitled under Minn. Stat. § 204C.40 (2008) to receive the certificate of election as United States Senator from the State of Minnesota.” This means that when Franken is ultimately seated, the Democrats will have 60 seats and be able to beat any Republican foes.

In continuing Minnesota Senate Recount Madness, the Canvassing Board deemed “Lizard People” to be a real person, while a ballot for Brett Favre was judged a fake vote. This would be even funnier if the Lizard People didn't take a vote away from Franken, but still. Democracy at work!
