I don’t think it’s true that a wild bear doesn’t pose any danger to a village just because he’s friendly now (he’s also still a juvenile and will get larger). Wild animals in captive situations hurt people all the time. Their instincts kick in at the wrong moment when someone is just trying to play. Oftentimes when wild animals in captivity do react to something — completely naturally — and hurt someone, they are immediately killed for their “crime.” Not to mention that there are humans who are not as nice to bears as these people are, and a bear this acclimated to people might approach a poacher or trapper who wants to ship it off somewhere else. He wandered into the village at a young age, so he may have been orphaned and not known any better than to stick around where there’s food. As cute as the pictures are, he deserves a life as a wild bear, not a pet.
