According to Reuters, an unidentified man jumped on the stage and pointed a gun at Ahmed Dogan, the leader of Bulgaria’s Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) party, during the televised party congress in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is not clear why the man targeted Dogan, who is 58-years-old and has led the party for close to 25 years. Police said that the attacker was 25-years-old and was also carrying two knives.
