A Sweet Barasingha Deer Fawn Born In Germany

Barasingha, or “swamp deer,” are a threatened species whose numbers in the wild once dropped as low as 66. Thanks to a concerted effort at saving this beautiful species from extinction, there are now over 500 wild barasingha deer. This baby was born at the Berlin Zoo on June 24.
