A Little Girl Asked Her Mom To Be Friends With Her Dad And It Will Melt Your Heart

"I'm not trying to be mean. I just want all of us to be friends, and if I can be nice I think all of us can be nice too."

A 6-year-old girl is touching hearts across the world after her mom uploaded a video of her asking her parents to be friends and be kind to one another after an argument.

A Canadian woman named Sherry uploaded the video of her daughter Tiana to Facebook last week, and it has since been viewed over 10 million times.

In the video, Tiana pleads with Sherry, who says she is a divorced single mom, to get along with her father.

Sherry told BuzzFeed News she had been been exchanging words with her daughter's father in an unkind tone when Tiana cried out. She then filmed what her daughter had to say to her after going inside the house.

Tiana starts out by asking her mom if she is ready to be her dad's friend.

"Just try your best," she said. "I don't want you and my dad to be replaced and meanies again. I want you and my dad to be placed as settled and be friends."

Tiana then gives some heartfelt advice that everyone would be wise to learn from:

I'm not trying to be mean. I just want all of us to be friends, and if I can be nice I think all of us can be nice too. I'm not trying to be mean but I'm trying to do my best in my heart, nothing else than that. I want you mom, my dad, everyone to be friends. I want everyone to be smiling...

...For you and my dad, mom, I think you can do it. I think you can settle your mean heights down a little to short heights.

Her mom wrote the video struck her at her core. "She brought me [to tears] and [made me] feel guilty," she wrote. She also posted the video to YouTube.

Many people wrote they were inspired by Tiana's message of kindness.

Sherry told BuzzFeed News that she and Tiana's father can't believe how many people have heard their daughter's words of wisdom.

She said she is trying to teach her daughter to be a caring person.

"Tiana is very outgoing, {has] lots of energy, [and is] very fast learner," she said. "She is the only purpose in my life. Without her I wouldn't be where I am today."
