One Lucky Guy Had A Delta Flight To NYC Practically To Himself

Turns out you can get a private jet experience on a coach budget. Well, after hours of delays.

Is this the best flight ever? A Brooklyn man got a pretty big surprise Monday when, after hours of flight delays, he ended up getting a passenger plane practically to himself, he told BuzzFeed News.

Have to give lots of credit to the flight attendant, who took one of the best pictures of me in a long time.

Chris O’Leary said his original flight to LaGuardia Airport was delayed by a little more than three hours.

He said that while most of the other passengers found out about the delay once they got to the airport, he was tracking them from his hotel across the street. When he saw the flight was ready to take off, he headed to the airport.

However, it turned out mostly everyone else had gotten booked on another flight, leaving him the sole passenger.

They rebooked everyone but me on another flight to LGA, so I am literally the only person on this plane.

His solo flight experience included some personal touches.

Just got a personal safety briefing from my two flight attendants.

However, his VIP treatment was short-lived.

O’Leary said that he did not really speak to the other passenger, except to welcome him on board.

"He seemed to think it was less novel... or he was really just looking forward to napping during the flight," O'Leary said.

Delta Airlines confirmed to ABC News that there were only two passengers aboard O'Leary's flight.

O'Leary said he has been "fascinated" by how quickly his story has spread.

"Because we all complain about air travel these days, I guess it's surprising to see someone get unexpectedly good service," he said. "I get upgraded on Delta occasionally, but this was by far the best upgrade I've ever gotten!"
