A little boy got a big surprise last week when his soldier dad returned home from deployment and photobombed his school picture.

Cpl. James Bass surprised his 8-year-old son, Joshua, at his school in Durham, North Carolina, on Friday, ABC 11 reported.
Bass had spent a year deployed in Kuwait, according to the TV station.
To surprise his son, Bass snuck behind him as he was getting his picture taken.
Then, the photographer showed Joshua his dad was in his picture. He didn't quite understand what was going on...
Until he turned around and saw his dad.
