Beyonce Supports Frank Ocean Through Poem

The singer who worked with Frank Ocean on the track, ‘I Miss You,’ demonstrated her support of Ocean’s decision to come out with a poem released on her official website.

I know, right? Now tell your friends!

The singer is not the first to vocalize support for Ocean. Her husband, Jay-Z, put this message on his website:

We admire the great courage and beauty and fearlessness in your coming out, not only as a bisexual Black man, but as a broken hearted one. The tender irony that your letter is to a boy who was unable to return your love until years later because he was living a lie is the only truly tragic detail about your letter.

Meanwhile, Tyler The Creator tweeted:

My Big Brother Finally F**king Did That. Proud Of That Ni**a Cause I Know That S**t Is Difficult Or Whatever.

And Russell Simmons praised the R&B star in an open letter:

I am profoundly moved by the courage and honesty of Frank Ocean. Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear. These types of secrets should not matter anymore, but we know they do, and because of that I decided to write this short statement of support for one of the greatest new artists we have.
