_Star Trek_'s [official website](http://www.startrek.com/database_article/star-trek-ii-the-wrath-of-khan) says the exact year is 2285.

According to Netflix, _Metropolis_ took place in the year 2026.

According to [IGN](http://www.ign.com/wikis/prometheus/Connections_With_Alien), the loosely-based prequel _Prometheus_ occurs 28 years before _Alien_, making _Alien_'s set year 2122.

Well, you didn't do _as_ well as you hoped to do, but that's OK. Better than having a baby alien burst out of your chest, right? Don't sweat it — you'll knock 'em dead next time!
