Response To
Everything Wrong With "Looper"

ssb062000 4 months agoHave you considered the fact that, perhaps, by traveling through time, a paradox is inevitably created in which inconsistencies break the “logical” flow of time or create a tangent string of reality? Your assumptions are valid if you believe time is a linear single “string”, however this is not the only time travel theory in existence.

mekki 4 months agoIt doesn’t have to be in existence right now to know whether it would work in a certain way or not. You just have to use common sense and basic science, which the movie did not. If young Joe killed himself, he would have eliminated old Joe from future existence. Therefore, all the things that happened in the movie the moment old Joe came into young Joe’s time would have not happened or else you would have a paradox. Which means, no truck with gold, no mom and Sid ever coming in contact with either Joe, no slaughter of the other Loopers, no anything. But the fact that there was not a reset means the movie does indeed have a paradox.
