what about effects on bone density and limb growth from increased/decreased gravity on distant planets or space stations? this is why you consult sci fi nerds/writers for future projection, not geneticists.
This makes a lot of base assumptions.
“Eyes will get larger, as attempts to colonize Earth’s solar system and beyond see people living in dimmer environments further away from a sun” Assumes that people will be living outdoors in these far earth environments. Based on need for breathable oxygen, temperature variations as we move away from the Sun (our heat source), etc. I would suggest the complete opposite:
Eyes will get smaller, as attempts to colonize Earth’s solar system and beyond see people living entirely indoors, in artificially lighted and heated spaces.”

I think the major difference between the results provided is the source from which they are taken. Google searches THE INTERNET for images. Pinterest searches user provided images with user provided descriptions. Because pinterest is primarily used by people as creative/inspirational/etc pinboards the source images are all of a certain theme/quality. so yes, when you search ruffles you get CLOTHING and FOOD, thats what people post to pinterest (not ruffles potato chips). I can google image search any term and likely get a pretty close example provided to me, and if I don’t get what I want it’s because my search wasn’t specific enough (i.e. ruffles vs fashion ruffles).
I was under the impression that the homosexual advances by Silva were merely “intimidation tactics” attempting to put Bond off guard. I didn’t get the impression that he was actually gay…
…but…why did he shoot the cow?
#2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars#Box_office_performance OP sees: $460,998,007 (ep4) vs $474,544,677 (ep1) - OMG!!!!! Intelligent person sees: $1,275,650,843 (ep4 adj. for inflation) vs $474,544,677 (ep1) so…pretty much what REALLY happened is a movie came out in 1977 that nobody had ever heard of and made almost 3 times as much in box office than a movie which came out in 1999 and had 20+ years of hype and fandom attached to it.
Surprised it wasn’t a girl: “Chinese Man flushes new born daughter, clogs toilet. Officials and plumber successfully removed the infant and cleared the clog. Officials charged the man with inappropriate waste disposal and will require him to take a weekend class on how to appropriately dispose of unwanted female children.”
the button doesn’t say it enough:
WTF!?
