I’ve worked in veterinary clinics for nearly 10 years and I’ve met thousands of dogs of all breeds. Nice, docile chows are the exception - not the rule. They may be nice in your house but in the clinic nearly all of them are unpredictable biters. They also have atrocious eye & skin problems from poor breeding - nearly all of them need eye surgery. Pitbulls may not deserve their reputation but chows absolutely do.

The information posted in this video is misleading and incorrect and the website is full of even more lies trying to get people to donate money to their cause. Declawing only has a 1-10% long term complication rate so it actually is highly unlikely that girlskill’s cat suffers from phantom pain or arthritis. That is not how anesthesia is induced and that is not what a real veterinarian would say about the procedure. I’m highly disturbed by the anti-veterinary stance of the website. You know Buzzfeed, you really should consider consulting a veterinarian before you post stuff like this. 1/3 of cats didn’t go to the vet in the past year at all. This is horrible because cats hide illness and they could have a life threatening illness and without regular checkups and blood tests you could miss it. Because cats are a prey species (to show illness is to risk being eaten by something bigger than you) they do not act sick until they are nearly dying.
Buzzfeed I hope you’ll consider retracting this post because you’re contributing to the huge problem of cats not going to the veterinarian. I’d like to think you’re above posting sites that flat out lie to people in an effort to get more donations.
