☁Spam Of God☁ 6 months agoDoes anyone else think saying “Jesus was gay” is just a little wrongheaded and inappropriate? You’re only going to harden people against us (the LGBT community) by saying provocative things like that (let me, as an atheist, also remind everyone how badly they would be flipping their lids if somebody said this about Muhammad and ask them “why the double standard?”) The real argument is THIS:
The bible says not to do a BUNCH of stuff (on pain of death), we ignore almost ALL of it (for example Jesus never said a word about homosexuality but he was very clear on the subject of divorce and remarriage… he wasn’t “fer it”), the reason we ignore the rest is because it actually applies to the majority of us, we don’t actually want to be held responsible for our own actions… it’s so much easier to single out a small, weak, tortured minority and say “they’re sinners! get’em!”
