But now that I read these 10 reasons to love Megan, I do appreciate her more. I can see my own life in hers (I married someone older). I think Megan is good for Don and his family, but is he really good for her. Beside the security she has being his wife, Don really didn’t want her using her wings to fly in a direction he didn’t approve of. He didn’t fight her too hard about it but wasn’t truly happy for her. That’s sad. Sad for Megan.

The only reason I did not like her at first was because I LOVED Dr.Faye. SHE was older and even more self-actualized than Megan. Megan only realized she was letting Don define her until after the fact. BUT Dr. Faye had an identity apart from Don and she stood up for it. I know Dr. Faye was not great with children (and she was honest about it), but she was still compassionate and sincere with Don. She would have been a better match. Megan is having to “fight” with Don to spread her wings and fly. They really did not know each other before hand. Don & Dr. Faye had a better idea of each other and could have blossomed into something more concrete.
