A lot of these Buzzfeed comments don’t sound very bright, either. Yeah, these inner city kids who have probably had very little exposure to The Beatles don’t know shit about them, but if you think you’re cultured or have awesome music taste because you listen to one of the most popular bands ever, you need a reality check. The classism and snap judgments in some of these comments betray far more ignorance. Music taste is subjective and that other people might not care about a band doesn’t matter. You’d think people calling out the girl as a hipster would realize that.

They were obviously a major influence on a generation. But then again, so was Michael Jackson. How about listen to whatever the fuck you want and don’t be so precious about it. It’s only pop music.

Try this: ask your parents to name a song by Duke Ellington, or Count Basie. ‘Cuz those guys were huge about 30 years before The Beatles came to popularity… now we’re asking young kids to talking about The Beatles more than 30 years after they broke up.

I don’t like the Beatles music- just because someone doesn’t share your taste doesn’t mean they’re stupid haha; but yeah naw, I don’t hate THEM but I do hate their music.

In their defense, most of those people interviewed don’t listen to rock. They might listen to rap and pop. And the guy interviewing probably interviewed 20 people and he edited out the smartest and kept the dumbest, or the ones that gave the funny answers.

I’m in the same age group as the people in the video, and the only reason I like the Beatles is because my dad listened to them all the time when I was younger.
