DudeicusMaximus a year agoWhen I go to a bar, I tip $1 for drinks that cost around $5, and $0.50 for drinks that cost under $3. Restaurants: If the bill is $10-$15, I tip $3. If it’s $20-$30, I tip $5-$8. If I just won money or got paid a lot, I’ll tip $10. If the server acts like a dick (I was a waiter for a while, I know how it is, but you have to be cool to people to get tips) I’ll tip less. I don’t do percentages. Fuck that noise.

I think tipping is great but I hate that it’s become an expected practice. You should tip if someone goes out of their way to help you or does an especially great job but what’s with the 20% for a manicurist?
