I'd always heard the phrase said as “If wishes were horses, the streets would be full of shit.” But I like your version better… far more classy.

Ahead of the curve, you mean? Or are curbs going to be making a comeback with all the little hipster kids?
Repenting for the intellectual mind and humanism? This will be a day of death? This is not a religious ceremony, it's a graduation. And that girl has some serious fucking issues.
I'm a little disappointed to realize that my Trekkie friends and I aren't the first ones to think of “The Spocker”.
As others have said, it's NOT a limerick. It's also REALLY old; not only do I remember this from high school, my *grandmother* used to recite this to her students when she taught chemistry *in the 1950s*.
I kind of hate myself for this, but peach Faygo and carfires bring up fond memories of my childhood. I don't like the ICP, but I guess if you grow up within a 50 mile radius of Detroit, there are things you just can't shake.
How could you NOT blame the Pope? He's the head of an organization devoted to worshipping the supernatural which has — even within the last fifty years — engaged in the destruction of native cultures and a massive coverup of child abuse. Even if we let the crusades and the inquisition slide, THIS Pope himself has been guilty of spreading misinformation about HIV/AIDS and condoms, spreading hatred about LGBTQ people, and living in extreme wealth despite having taken a vow of poverty and doing extremely little to help the poor. Why should we not be disgusted by a hypocrite who has done so much to promote ignorance, use the poor, and keep thousands of child rapists from jail?
This was actually pretty hard to watch.First of all because it reminds me of my friend's mom, and all the times I've seen her flip out. Secondly, because the son definitely seems like some of the rich assholes I went to high school with… completely conceited and an absolute douche. I would never drink this drink.
To be fair, the Pope actually *is* evil. So it would be hard for him to not look evil when photographed.
I KNEW I liked T.S. Eliot for a reason. That dude rules!
