Confusing Margaret Thatcher for Meryl Streep ...and The Queen

TV stations in Taiwan and Thailand were a little red faced when choose the wrong images during news about Margaret Thatcher passing. Oops!

Monday's news that former UK Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, passed away from a stroke received mixed reception.

The news also hit in the evening time zones in Asia. Unfortunately two stations made a bit of a mistake on sourcing stills or footage in quick time.

In Taiwan, cable network CTI (or 'Chung T'ien Television' as it's stand for) accidently used footage of the Queen (who is still alive) instead of Margaret Thatcher, before quickly switched to the correct footage taken from CNN International.

Both stations in Taiwan and Thailand have later apologized for the mix-up.
