    #1 head wounds bleed a lot and there didn’t look to be any blood on him. If he did have a laceration on the back of his head it was obviously small and the video really isn’t clear enough to show it.  #2 broken noses cause black eyes and lots of swelling in the face. Even with the poor quality of the video the swelling and bruising of his face should have been visible.  Now with this I am not saying Trayvon didn’t justifiably punch Zimmerman. I can totally see that happening. My whole issue begins when Zimmerman was asked by the operator if he was pursuing Trayvon and Zimmerman responded yes. The operator then told him not to because units were on the way to investigate. The moment Zimmerman refused to follow the directions of the operator is when the case turned to murder.
    And people should really stop bringing up Trayvon’s suspension. It really doesn’t matter one way or the other because he was shot on a Sunday and wouldn’t have been in school anyway. And remember he is a 17 year old boy and 17 year old boys do stupid things all the time. Everything that has come out about Trayvon seems pretty standard stuff for a 17 years old boy.

      Agreed, NLM. When I was Trayvon’s age, my friends and I was doing things that were way worse than smoking a little weed. Now I have two degrees and am an upstanding citizen who pays her taxes and volunteers on weekends. My parents are proud of me. It hurts to think of how devastated my mother would have been (and still would be) if I’d been shot at 17.

      we used to skip school by sneaking out the side door, we’d slip our ID cards between the latch and lock so we could open the door to come back. we got caught because we were dumb enough to use our ID cards when the admins got wise to our supposed brilliant scheme. we got suspended. it happens. my parents made me volunteer to mow neighborhood lawns while i was suspended. high school kids do dumb things, it’s part of growing up and it is, by no means, a reason to get shot.
