How does saying that it’s safer to carry a whistle over a gun (in the context of not being sure if you’re going to be attacked) the same as saying if you got pregnant from rape then you must have secretly enjoyed it? He’s trying to make the point that guns are dangerous in situations where they can be used before all the facts are known. It’s a stupid idea to try to make an analogy with rape, but that’s hardly the same as “rape pregnancy isn’t real so we don’t need to ever have abortions.”
