Freetoes You’re the ones getting $2.13 an hour to set people’s tables, fill glasses, get their napkins, get ranch from the fridge and put it in little cups, bring them what they need the whole time they’re eating, and clean up to them. As in: YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION. PIZZA GUYS’ job description: For $2.13 an hour, with all the taxes going to eliminate that, just like yours: -We drive our OWN car, using our OWN gas (and gas prices are at least a buck more a gallon than that hourly pay- and that’s if the prices are LOW), having our insurance rates skyrocket, For a job that, due to us going anywhere that orders, with a big light saying we’re carrying money and food, means studies have proven that it’s as dangerous as being a police officer (doing it unarmed). (You got only a 15% tip, just like Emily Post said traditional etiquette is, and not that 20% SERVERS decided was the right tip? Poor baby. Poor widdle baby. I got held up at knifepoint multiple times delivering pizzas. But really, you’re breaking my heart that someone tipped you $1.49 on that $7.51 tip instead of $1.52 so you got exactly 20 percent. It’s so tragic I think I’m going to cry for you, you living martyr of the serving group.) Oh, and if I’m too much of a jerk about it? Maybe. But that happens when every time a server claims “20 percent tips, even if we openly spit in your food, or you’re worse than Hitler!”, it ALSO comes with the same servers claiming “Don’t bother giving your pizza guy a tip, they have delivery fees. (Again- that delivery fee? Goes to the pizza place, NOT to us. The highest percentage of that from any pizza parlor I ever drove for only gave us $1.00 of a $2.50 fee- most places charge the same, for less. If one of you servers got $1.00 for a tip, you’d jump the people and have the entire waitstaff whale on them for it. So, yeah, freetoes- we DO deserve our tips, and if you servers don’t want to give the same to us, why should we do it for YOU?
