Trans Model Carmen Carerra Embodies Both Adam And Eve In This Stunning Poster

“Gender lines are blurred and every person is unique in how they see themselves,” says Carerra of the poster promoting Vienna’s 22nd annual Life Ball.

1. Photographer David LaChapelle has captured trans model Carmen Carrera as both the biblical Adam and Eve for the 2014 Life Ball poster.

The Life Ball, which takes place annually inside Vienna City Hall, is one of the biggest AIDS charity events in the world.

3. The two versions of the poster – which read “I’m Adam. I’m Eve. I’m Me” – will be displayed in Vienna to promote the Life Ball, as well as announce David LaChappelle’s upcoming exhibition.

4. “My message is: beauty has no gender. At the end of the day beauty is beauty,” Carmen says of the campaign.

5. “For me the body is more than something to be looked at as an object of sexual gratification. The body is a beautiful housing for the soul that we are celebrating in this picture,” LaChapelle explains.
