Surprise Light Show Staged At Grand Central Station

Improv Everywhere strikes again with an impromptu light display.

Improv Everywhere sent 135 volunteers equipped with lights to Grand Central Terminal and staged an unannounced light show. The group was invited by MTA Arts for Transit as part of Grand Central’s centennial celebration on February 1st.

The performers were given special LED flashlights capable of displaying different colors.

Volunteers made use of the catwalks to create the impressive display.

The choreography was all delivered via a prerecorded narrator. Wireless speakers were placed in the catwalks for the performers to take direction from.
