This Labour Politician Wore A Feminist T-Shirt Into The House Of Commons

Harriet Harman, the deputy leader of the Labour party, taunted the prime minister by wearing it and sitting opposite him.

Something strange happened in parliament today: Harriet Harman decided it was casual Wednesday and wore a T-shirt.

Take a closer look and you can see that she delivered on her promise to wear a feminist T-shirt to work.

Harman had her picture taken in the T-shirt just before heading into the chamber.

Not really sure what this is all about? Earlier this week Elle magazine asked political leaders and celebrities to have their pictures taken wearing this T-shirt. Harman's boss, Ed Miliband, wore it (and actually pulled it off).

Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg wore it.

But the prime minister refused to wear it.

Which leads back to the question: Should David Cameron have publicly showed his support for equal rights for men and women by wearing the T-shirt? It certainly seemed to help Harman.
