This reminds me of when older parents try to be “hip” for the young’uns and say things like “SO 80’s, SO tired”… kind of like Regina’s mom in Mean Girls. This was incorrect, awkward, and tried way too hard. Most of these songs were not boring to begin with, and the replacements were just ridiculous and irrelevant. Yikes.
