This is Norway.
It is a freakishly beautiful country.
Full of wonderful people and traditions.
But did you know that every spring, Norwegian teenagers lose their fucking minds, wreak havoc across the country and EVERYONE IS TOTALLY FINE WITH IT?
Russ is a yearly tradition that is part road trip, part rave, part high school graduation and full lunacy.
The russ grab their buddies...
Design a bus...
... and travel around getting SMASHED.
You can tell someone is russ because they wear crazy awesome overalls called russebukse.
Teens can buy their russebukse from an official russ website.
And carry around special russ cards.
They also complete insane dares in order to get knots, or russeknuter, on their caps.
These dares can range from drinking a shit ton of beer with tampons in your mouth...
... to kissing police officers...
... to licking the floor.

Oh, and at least two people have to witness you do any of these dares in order to get the knute.
