It’s amazing (and positive) how much the culture has changed. I remember in the late ’70s, there was a tv movie called “Coach”. Cathy Lee Crosby played a female coach of a high school basketball team. Not only is she shown in the locker room watching the boys shower, she sleeps with one of the students (Michael Biehn) with no repercussions. In fact, this was the romantic core of the movie. IIRC, Biehn was a junior, not even 18. A teacher sleeping with an underage boy was portrayed as empowering for Crosby. Mindboggling. Of course, another popular tv movie was “Sooner or Later”, about the romance between 20-something guitar teacher Rex Smith and his 15-year-old student, though I think he does eventually tell her she’s too young. The ’70s were weird.
