Didn’t mean to press the heart because I definitely don’t love this article. Can pop culture ever do anything that is considered okay by overly-critical people like this author? The fact that she/he compares a scene in a movie to a school shooting is bad enough. Pop culture (movies, games, etc) do not cause mass shootings, sick people do! Ugh.

Like someone said earlier, gun control should be focused on, but mental illness should be also. Far more people struggle with this than we realize. There is a stigma of craziness around mental illness that needs to be abolished. How many more lives need to be lost to suicide and mental-illness related things until we realize this system needs a revamp?
