You were constrained by technological limitations and the studio breathing down your neck. The Empire Strikes Back, where you arguably had the LEAST amount of influence and even managed to select a director that pulled off a miracle? Gorgeous. Brilliant.  Return of the Jedi, where you started reasserting your influence? We got fucking Ewoks, Boba Fett's frustratingly lame death, and multiple desert creatures belching. A rehashed Death Star and the bland ineffective direction of Richard Marquand didn't help matters either. You and your expanding neck wattle need to enjoy your retirement. Leave well enough alone. You did a lot, and you need to recognize when enough is enough.
