Ok, I’m sorry if I offended anyone that wasn’t my intention. I was simply trying to imply that is must suck for these people to have their tradition soiled by the image of the KKK. I wasn’t saying “Oh they should change their tradition”. I was trying to say how because of assumption many people (tourists to the area) may believe they are KKK and that may unfairly bring unwarranted hate towards them. I guess in retrospect I really should have constructed that sentence more carefully. I apologise.
