This would have been the Superman version of Batman 3. He looks like a Super Christmas Tree Man. And Nic Cage as Superman feels like Bill Murray as Spiderman. Just plain wrong.

I don’t understand why everyone’s first reaction is about the suit. Ummm, NICHOLAS CAGE!?!?! Were they on drugs?

for the record, this story dealt with the death of superman… and this suit wasn’t intended to be his “normal” one. the picture of cage in that normal suit is out there — and he looks horrendous. this suit was intended to be the one he wears to “heal” himself and be “reborn.” and now, i’ll give myself the geek award.

i dunno, i think it looks okay - without the context of what the movie was about, it’s hard to judge either way

This looks more Joel Schumacher a la Batman Forever than Tim Burton.

As much as I love Tim Burton’s films, that would have been a huge mistake. Perhaps that suit could have worked for Brainiac.

Yeah, that suit looks silly, because Superman’s normal costume is the epitome of sophisticated. He wear skin tight primary colours with his underpants on the outside! This suit is freaking cool. I would kill to get my hands on it now.

Ugh, I don’t know how anyone involved with that project thought any of those ideas were suitable for Superman.
