Glenn? Sex?? Impossible!!

The only television reporter I am interested in seeing in a sex tape is Anderson Cooper. Give me that, and I'll pay attention (and good money.) Glenn Beck, however? Blech.

I do believe that Glenn Beck is a demagogue. But while reading the comments on the article at The Blaze, I realize that however misled we believe his followers to be, it does us no good to just constantly reiterate how dumb or how wrong we think they are. They're accusing us of all the same things that we're accusing them of - closed mindedness, fear of the truth, following a leader blindly, unwillingness to compromise, etc etc. And I realize that from their perspective they're probably 100% correct, since the sum total of efforts made to communicate between parties seem to be screaming at each other through a soundproof window. Members of both sides are constantly going to be undermining their own group by behaving badly, setting a bad example, and provoking the other side needlessly. I just wish that our leaders would rise above this and demonstrate the communicative abilities that we elect them for rather than sinking to the level of the inciters of discord. Otherwise we're headed for a frigging civil war.
