Really???
Really???
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
The…native…African-American people???
Omg it’s ART ppl, what a poorly written post to leave that out. It’s SUPPOSED to be freaky scary, representing just how freaky scary and unhealthy today’s beauty standards already are
Isn’t it sposed to be a roflcopter? Why does it say rolf on it? There’s. O such thing as a rolfcopter it’s a roflcopter.
I had that record player from the first post!!!
Wait so the edible glitter is just food coloring and…salt? Salt covered chocolate sounds so gross! Ew! Otherwise I like the article, I looooove glitter, how could anyone dislike it???! But yeah. The edible glitter sounds down right NASTY, sorry!
Oooooh I like that sample sentence more than the better known “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.”. The one in this article shows more capital letters which is helpful when you are picking which typeface to use.
I came across a template online for these when I was teaching art to middle schoolers. We did it as a project to fill time in between lessons. They absolutely LOVED it! I actually forgot all about these so I am glad to have been reminded. Btw thicker paper works better, they’re longer lasting that way.
I’m sorry but I’ve got to agree with the other commenters. Pinterest is a site for VISUAL bookmarking, not in depth discussions about society. What the hell is wrong with pinning or looking at images of things that are nice to look at? OoooOOohh so some women enjoy makeup tips or recipes, does that REALLY set feminism back?
I mainly use my pinterest to save recipes, crafting ideas, makeup looks, artwork, and pictures of beautiful places. When Jezebel and the Hairpin start posting original artwork and photos maybe people will post things from there. But until then yeah we’re going to get recipes from cooking sites, makeup tips from beauty sites, etc., etc
This article is reeeeeaaaaaaallllly reaching to make connections that are not there, and honestly it comes off as pretty condescending towards a lot of women who consider themselves feminist yet also enjoy Some of the more “traditional” things like cooking, crafting, and decorating. Oh and bitching about the “tiny foods”?! Come on do you have a drop of common sense? They’re hoer-devours, you know the little snacks that people make for thier guests at parties? What a load of tripe.
Jeez man y’all at buzzfeed steal SO MUCH CONTENT from reddit.
I’m not the hugest fan of Gaga’s music, but I wish I could spend an afternoon listening in on her and Yoko talking about performance art. They’re both such complete weirdos and I mean that as a complement.
Wow, I would never make it there. I know its really old fashion and dorky but I like my clothes to match. A few of them looked nice in my opinion but a lot of them, just, I guess I am just totally out of touch with “high fashion” and I don’t get it. Usually I am super open minded too but I just don’t understand why some ppl spend so much money to look so…bad. I feel so old and out of touch!
Content not available for mobile? Boooooo that’s lame-o, I was super excited when I saw this bc I thought the article by Sean was one of the best posts I’d seen on here…
Ooh also “Mother” by Tori Amos does it for me too! And yes it’s really weird to me that not everyone experiences these “musical chills”. I had grown up assuming that most people did as well and am always surprised when someone doesn’t “get it”. Also in my case I have synesthesia , I “see” music on my head, and have since I was a child (This is way before Winamp/iTunes visualizers, I’m talking like 1083 here. I though EVERYONE saw music, because my father does as well and we talked about it sometimes. So yeah between the chills an the visuals I am super sensitive the the music around me. TBH sometimes silence is just the most enjoyable thing for me bc sometimes I just feel a bit overloaded, especially from television.
Very nice article!!! I wish buzzfeed was full of articles like this. Honestly I don’t know if what I experience is truly asmr or if it is frission, but I definitely get chills and tingles from music, I mean like serious physical reactions just hearing music but moreso when I listen with -GOOD- headphones on. (Don’t even get me started about the frustration it brings me when people spend more money to have headphones that “look cool” rather than spending a little more on ones that SOUND awesome. Anyway I TOTALLY feel ya about those four piano notes in Province by TVOTR. Ha! So obscure and so cool to read someone else has the same reaction to those notes. And yes Underworld has given me that feeling time and time again, that’s why they used to be my number one favorite act. “Juanita-Kiteless-To Dream of Love” by Underworld gives me that tingly feeling to the point I feel I could. Urst, in. Good way though! You (the author…or anyone else that gets what this article is about) should try listening to some Boards of Canada…. They do it to me all the time.
Again, GREAT article, very interesting and well researched, hope to read more from the same author in the fututre.
@dannyc that is unfrigginbelievable. Seriously??? Telling people to put their cell phones next to the baby in the back seat of the car so they don’t forget it to take the baby out of the car in hot weather. WOW. Something is seriously wrong with this world. Just…wow.
Zebra shirt? Seriously? Omg some people are just so dumb. The more of these “look what these jerks said on twitter” posts I see, the less I want to live on this planet. And the “zebra” thing is really the only thing I can touch on without getting SUPER upset.
I am super confused about the categories but I guess to each their own. I just think over half of these are in the wrong category! Katy Perry as drab? Huh? And Psy looks better than the most of them. It just seems like saying shitty things is the thing to do these days, even when some of these outfits are totally, perfectly fine.
