The Character Who Died In "Game Of Thrones" Says He Won't Be Back

SIGNIFICANT SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE.

So of course the biggest twist in last night's Game of Thrones was Jon Snow's stabbing and death.

There's been obviously quite a lot of shock about this.

And in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kit Harington told the magazine he won't be returning.

    He told Entertainment Weekly:

Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, "This is how it is." If anything in the future is not like that, then I don't know about it – it's only in David and Dan and George's heads. But I've been told I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm not coming back next season. So that's all I can tell you, really.

This is quite gutting news, really.

    I'll leave you all with this. @GameOfThrones #GameofThrones #JonSnow

But other people are just not believing it.

Well of COURSE Kit Harrington is gonna say he’s not back next season. Why wouldn’t they misdirect? It’ll be a huge reveal. #GameofThrones

In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, the showrunner Dan Weiss (on the right) said similar things about Jon Snow, suggesting, “Dead is dead.”

    He told Entertainment Weekly:

We would hope that after seeing the scene and the way it's shot that the answer to that will be unambiguous in the minds of the people watching it. It should be pretty clear what happens in by the time you're done seeing that scene. It's not an, 'Oh what just happened scene?'

However, some fans are suggesting that Snow could still be alive, due to the direwolf called Ghost.

Or the involvement of Melisandre, who had just arrived at Castle Black not long before Snow's death.

Jon Snow next season be like #GameofThrones

But then again, when you think about, even Kit might not know whether he will return in Game of Thrones.

BuzzFeed reached out to the representatives for Kit Harington for comment on whether Jon Snow is dead.

They responded, "You saw what I saw – he's dead."
