Sparklers are the retarded cousin of fireworks.

You can buy anything in Idaho as long as you sign a waver saying you are taking it out of state. I never see anything except Idaho plates in the parking lots, and so many people buy mortars to set off in their cul de sacs that the city of Boise doesn't have to put on a fireworks show.

I saw way more fireworks growing up in New York than the other five states I lived in since (in which they are legal). Forgettaboutit!

In Arizona you can carry guns around with you but not fireworks.

In Ohio if you pretend to be a reseller taking them out of state you can get anything.

Think about how stupid the average person is. Then realize that half of all people are stupider than that. Then realize that this weekend, those people will be handling explosives (and will probably be drunk at the same time).

The south Texas city I live in bans them within city limits (everyone uses them anyway, and of course the local fireworks show is given a pass). If you're outside the city limits, go crazy.

In NY, if you're at an address known to be cop-friendly or associated, you can do whatever you want, even fill an Interstate trench with smoke.

Texas looks very permissive on that map, but the west Texas city I live in bans ALL fireworks within city limits. :(

I've lived in Iowa and Illinois, and the laws banning fireworks are pretty much universally ignored.

thank god i live in the plains. sparklers are for babies and girls and safe and sane fireworks are for preacher's kids.
